Stratford Economic Recovery Task Force begins distributing PPE

The Stratford Economic Recovery Task Force has begun distributing personal protective equipment (PPE) to local businesses.

This follows the announcement last week that the Stratford BIA purchased 18,000 face masks, and now the distribution will begin. As part of the initial phase of helping local businesses get ready to reopen safely during COVID-19, the masks will be given out at no cost in bundles of 20, 40 and 60. Festival City Marketplace has agreed to allow the Recovery Task Force team to set up mask distribution outside the Harts entrance in the Mall next Tuesday, May 19 and Thursday, May 21 from 12 until 4pm.

Local businesses are encouraged to only take what they need to reopen. To organize pickups, businesses are asked to complete a form on Eventbrite at the following link: https://www.eventbrite.ca/e/ppe-mask-pickup-for-stratford-small-businesses-tickets-105391835818?ref=estw. Then, business owners will be sent instructions on how to pick up their masks. The masks were bought in bulk with donations from a local family who have made donations in both Stratford and St. Marys.
