A number of municipalities are advising the public that beaches and shorelines are closed to help stop the spread of COVID-19 as the long weekend approaches.
All of Grey-Bruce, under order from their Medical Officer of Health, have closed beaches and shorelines to the public. That includes the municipality of Kincardine, who put out their own release restricting beach and shoreline access. This directive applies to all municipally managed beaches and shore in both counties. This order is in effect from noon on May 15, 2020 until it is officially rescinded.
This closure means that no activity of any kind can take place and that the following are closed to all persons:
• Beaches and Beach Access • Boardwalks (both sides) • Gardens by the Boardwalk • Any portion of the Trails System that goes along the shoreline • Any structures on the beach • Marinas, boat launches and piers
