Second staffer at Braemar Retirement near Wingham positive for COVID-19

Braemar Retirement Centre in the Municipality of Morris Turnberry has received an additional positive COVID-19 test in an asymptomatic staff member.

This makes for a total of two staff members testing positive for COVID-19.

Both staff members are currently not experiencing any health complications and are self-isolating at home.

All residents have tested negative for COVID-19 and there are no actively ill residents. There are no further resident results pending at this time.

Owner and administrator Archie MacGowan said they are diligent in monitoring staff and residents including temperature monitoring.

He said staff has been carefully following all of the precautionary measures as Braemar continues to follow the direction set out by the Huron Perth Public Health Unit.
