Drunk teen arrested in Wallaceburg

A 15-year-old boy who had been drinking is spending some time at police headquarters in Chatham after police picked him up in Wallaceburg early Monday morning.

Chatham-Kent police said they arrested the teen at his home while police were responding to a domestic disturbance.

The accused was taken into custody and was set to be released when sober.

Sunday afternoon driver charged after crash

A 78-year-old Chatham Township man is charged with careless driving in connection with a single-vehicle crash on Prince Albert Road Sunday afternoon.

Police said the man lost control of his vehicle and ended up in the ditch.

No injuries were reported and the damage was estimated at $1,000.

Chatham driver accused of speeding on Hwy.401

A 19-year-old Chatham driver has been charged with racing a motor vehicle after officers clocked a vehicle going faster than 155 kilometres an hour on Highway 401.

Chatham-Kent OPP said the vehicle was stopped on the highway near Kent Bridge Road on April 25, around 7:30 p.m.

The racing charge comes with an immediate seven-day vehicle impoundment.

Police looking for stolen minivan

Chatham-Kent police are looking for a black 2014 Honda Odyssey that was reported stolen from a residence on Harvey Street in Chatham sometime overnight.

Police said it was taken between 9 p.m. Sunday and 6:30 a.m. Monday and was last seen with Ontario license plates CAEN 428.
