Police find meth on suspended driver
A 32-year-old Chatham man is facing charges after police pulled him over during a Sunday afternoon drive.
Chatham-Kent police said they stopped the vehicle in Chatham and learned that the man behind the wheel had been suspended from driving.
Officers said they also found some suspected methamphetamine on the man when they searched him.
He was charged accordingly and later released with conditions and a future court date.

Assault charge follows argument
A 27-year-old Ridgetown man has been arrested and charged with assault after allegedly assaulting his fiancee during a verbal argument.
Police said they were called in Sunday night to investigate a domestic disturbance, and later arrested the man in connection with the case.
He was taken into custody pending a bail hearing.

Domestic abuse charges laid
A 33-year-old Chatham man is facing a handful of charges after police received a call from a woman Sunday night who told officers she was a victim of domestic abuse.
As a result of their investigation, police arrested the man and charged him with two counts of assault, and one count each of forcible confinement, uttering threats, and mischief. He was later released with a future court date.

Stolen vehicle recovered
A purple 2006 Chevrolet HHR that was reported stolen from a residence on George Street in Ridgetown has been recovered in Blenheim.
Police said it was taken sometime either late Wednesday or early Thursday morning last week, adding that officers found it on Talbot Street West Sunday afternoon.

BMX helmets reported stolen
Chatham-Kent police are also investigating a break-in at Creek BMX on Creek Road in Chatham.
Officers said someone broke into a trailer at that business sometime last week between Tuesday and Sunday and stole 10 red and black racing helmets.
