United Way Compassion Fund has given $50K to 10 agencies

An emergency grant is being delivered to a tenth local agency from the United Way's COVID-19 Compassion Fund.

The North Lambton Community Health Centre is the latest organization to receive $5,000.

The centre provides primary healthcare, health promotion and community development services to seniors, Indigenous people, the mentally ill, low income families and youth at risk.

The centre said the funds will be used to assist clients who have mental illness or other vulnerable individuals in need of personal and cleaning supplies or food and transportation assistance.

The Sarnia-Lambton United Way has approved grants totaling $50,000 so far
