One new death, seven new COVID-19 cases in London-area

One more death related to COVID-19 and seven new cases of the virus have been confirmed in the London region.

The number of cases is now up to 289 as of Saturday afternoon with 17 deaths being reported.

The total case count includes 29 residents and 17 staff at area long-term care homes, as well as 21 residents and five staff members at local retirement facilities.

The number of resolved cases jumped from 125 on Friday to 133 on Saturday.

Ontario's case count currently sits at 10,010 with 514 deaths.
