Sarnia-Lambton COVID-19 caseload increases by eight

Sarnia-Lambton’s COVID-19 caseload had increased by eight as of Easter Sunday morning.

Lambton Public Health’s updated online numbers showed 115 confirmed cases at 7:30 a.m., the number of deaths remained at 10, and 15 confirmed cases have now recovered, up from 13 Saturday morning.

Bluewater Health reported the 10th patient death Friday.

Communications Chief Julia Oosterman said a 93-year-old female admitted April 5 from Sarnia’s Landmark Village retirement home died. Six of the county's 10 deaths are linked to the outbreak at the home, unchanged from Saturday's numbers.

As of Sunday morning, there were 26 patients in hospital with confirmed COVID-19 and 11 in hospital suspected of having the virus with tests pending.
