Multiple new COVID-19 cases in Chatham-Kent

A total of six new coronavirus cases are being reported in Chatham-Kent.

As of Sunday afternoon, this brings the local total to 25.

The latest cases involve a man in his 40s, a man in his 50s and a man in his 60s as well as a woman in her 50s, a woman in her 60s and a woman in her 70s.

The transmission cause of five of the newest cases is listed as close contact. The cause of the sixth case is still pending.

All of the six new cases are currently self-isolating, according to the Chatham-Kent Public Health Unit.

The number of deaths related to the virus remains at one. Meanwhile, the number of resolved cases has not changed since Saturday and still remains at seven.

To date, 503 tests have been administered locally with 86 results pending.
