Point Edward closes parking lots, including at Blue Water Bridge

There was a cool north wind, but the normally busy Waterfront Park at Blue Water Bridge was disturbingly desolate Wednesday.

The Village of Point Edward has closed a number of public parking lots to slow the spread of COVID-19.

The nearby splash pad is also closed as well as the parking lots at the soccer field on Livingston Street and the tennis courts on Monk Street.

Village CAO Jim Burns said staying home and practicing social/physical distancing is the best way to stop the spread of COVID-19.

He said the Federal Bridge Corporation will also be closing its parking lot south of the bridge.
