Six more COVID-19 cases in London-Middlesex

Health officials in the London-Middlesex region are reporting six new cases of the novel coronavirus.

The latest numbers were provided Sunday afternoon.

A woman in her 30s who contracted the virus after travelling to Mexico is currently self-isolating. A man in his 70s contracted the virus after travelling to Spain. Information on whether the man is in the hospital or recovering at home has not been released by health officials

Two more of the most recent cases also involve travel to unspecified locations, impacting a woman in her 40s and a woman in her 50s who are both self-isolating.

A woman in her 80s who contracted the virus through community transmission is currently hospitalized. Meanwhile, a man in his 30s is self-isolating after contracting the virus through close contact transmission.

The total number of confirmed cases of the virus in the London area is now at 31.
