The tally of new COVID-19 cases in the London-area has gone up again.
Among those cases confirmed this week is a man in his 20s who has been in hospital since testing positive for the virus. Public health officials are still working to determine how the man contracted COVID-19.
Other new cases include two men in their 30s who had close contact with an infected person and a woman in her 30s who recently travelled to the U.S.
All three are in self-isolation.
There have now been 20 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in London-Middlesex since the outbreak began.
Southwestern Public Health also reported two new cases in Oxford County. They involve a man and woman in their 30s who tested positive after coming into close contact with someone else with the virus. They are self-isolating.
Provincially, the number of new cases jumped by 170 on Thursday, with a large number of them being attributed to close contact with an infected person. Ontario has had a total of 837 confirmed cases of the coronavirus, which includes 13 deaths and eight recoveries. More than 38,500 people across the province have been tested, with 10,965 of those cases still under investigation.
