Theft of motor vehicle and breaking and entering

Just before 4 a.m. Sunday, a resident on Charing Cross Road woke to her vehicle being driven away from her property.

Shortly after, a suspicious vehicle complaint was made and officers were able to locate the vehicle. A 35-year-old man in possession of the stolen vehicle was arrested.

The man was in possession of what police believe to be stolen property. If your vehicle was entered in the vicinity of the area during the overnight hours of Sunday, police ask that you report any stolen property to them right away.

Man arrested on warrants

A 29-year-old man was caught trespassing on CP Rail property in Windsor on Saturday. The man was arrested and found to have outstanding warrants with the Chatham-Kent police for Failing to Attend Court and Breaching Probation. The man was held pending a bail hearing.

Youth volunteers practice coastal conservation

Nine young volunteers aged 11 to 17 spent three days exploring and protecting the Lake Huron coastline during the Coastal Conservation Youth Corps' inaugural program in Grand Bend from July 21 to 23.
