The Not-So Magnificent Seven

Chatham-Kent police can cross seven more names off of their wanted list after police across the region made a series of arrests on Thursday.

The accused in those two cases were both set to be held in custody pending bail hearings.

The fifth person police checked off their list was wanted for failing to attend his court date on Thursday. Officers said the 36-year-old Chatham man was previously arrested on December 5, 2019, charged with drug possession in connection with a bust in Chatham. Police caught up with him Thursday afternoon and took him into custody pending a bail hearing.

A 28-year-old Leamington woman who was wanted for using a stolen credit card in Wheatley was also arrested.

CK police said OPP arrested her Thursday night and took her back to Chatham-Kent. She was later released with conditions and a future court date.
