Suspicious vehicle call leads to arrest

A man is facing charges after a call to police about a suspicious vehicle.

Police got the report on Friday. While investigating they located the 25-year-old man who had been driving the vehicle. He was in breach of his bail conditions and was also prohibited from operating a vehicle. The 25-year-old was arrested and eventually released with a future court date.

In addition, the owner of the vehicle was charged under the Highway Traffic Act for knowingly allowing a prohibited driver to operate their vehicle.

The vehicle will be impounded for 45 days.

Man arrested on warrant

On Friday, police were able to nab a 27-year-old man who was wanted on a warrant.

Cops on general patrol saw the man in Wallaceburg. He was known to police and an inquiry yielded a warrant for failing to comply with an undertaking.

The man was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
