If you're travelling over the holidays you may want to try to limit your gas fill-ups to the evening.
Gas price analyst Dan McTeague with Gasbuddy.com said consumers shouldn't expect big jumps in prices over the holiday season.
"No need to panic, no need to rush, buy in the evenings, buy on the weekends and that tends to be the best time in which you can take advantage of the slightly lower prices," said McTeague.
McTeague said prices throughout southern Ontario are pretty consistent until you start heading into the Greater Toronto Area where you can expect to see a three to four cents a litre increase.
"In Toronto wait until after 6 p.m. in the evening to buy your fuel and that tends to be, especially on the weekends, the best time to buy gasoline," said McTeague.
A recent Gasbuddy.com study showed that in Ontario, gas tends to be the cheapest on Sunday and the most expensive on Thursdays.
