People from out of town who are visiting loved ones at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance over the holidays won't have to worry about shelling out money for a room.
The Chatham Comfort Inn is once again offering complimentary accommodations to visitors as part of their "Room at the Inn" program.
"We offer these accommodations to help bring families together during the holidays. It can be a difficult time when a family member is ill," said Sheila Bateman, general manager at the Comfort Inn. "Getting a good night's sleep is most helpful for patients' families."
The Comfort Inn is located at 1100 Richmond St., which is a roughly eight-minute drive from the Chatham hospital.
"For over 20 years 'Room at the Inn' has assisted our patients and their families who travel from outside of Chatham-Kent during the holiday season," said Lori Marshall, president and CEO at the CKHA.
Although a "Room at the Inn" is free, reservations must be made in advance by calling both the CKHA at (519) 352-6400 and the Comfort Inn. By calling the CKHA first, the admitting department will be able to confirm with the Comfort Inn that the person requesting a room is, in fact, visiting a hospital patient. The program is offered from December 24 up to and including December 26.
All rooms offer several amenities, as well as a complimentary hot breakfast.
