CK Man Arrested in London on Warrant

A Chatham-Kent man has been arrested in London after he was caught on surveillance video allegedly buying things on October 23 at a store in Chatham using a stolen debit card.

The suspect was released from police custody on October 22 with conditions. Among them was not to possess any form of identification and/or debit/credit cards that were not in his name.

An arrest warrant was issued because police didn't know where he was.

The 26-year-old man was charged on Tuesday with possession of property obtained by a crime under $5,000, fraud under $5,000, and failing to comply with his release conditions.

The man's name has not been released by police.

Woman Charged with Assaulting Police

A 33-year-old Chatham woman is facing charges for spitting at two officers while in Chatham court.

Chatham-Kent police said this allegedly happened while she was being escorted out of a courtroom on Tuesday and again while she was in a holding cell.

She has been charged with two counts of assaulting police.

Her name has not been released to the public.

Woman Charged with Flight from Police

Chatham-Kent police have charged a woman after she allegedly refused to pull over for officers during a traffic stop.

Officers tried to stop a vehicle registered under her name on Wednesday morning on Lacroix Street but the driver would not pull over. Police said a short pursuit then started, the vehicle pulled into a driveway, and the woman got out of the vehicle.

The suspect was released from police custody in September with conditions. One of her conditions was to remain inside a specific home at all times with the person who bailed her out of jail.

The 25-year-old Grand Pointe woman has been charged with flight from police and failing to comply with her bail conditions.

Her name has not been made public.
