Residents in Merlin now have power after a crash forced Hydro One crews to replace a damaged pole.
Hydro One had issued a town wide-emergency outage following a collision. Details about the crash have not been released yet by Chatham-Kent police.
Emergency outage: Merlin Hydro One has issued a town wide-emergency outage that will affect Entegrus customers in Merlin to replace a broken pole due to a motor vehicle accident. The outage will take place at 2:30pm and power is estimated to be restored by 6:30pm.

Roughly 1,037 customers were without power on Monday. According to the Hydro One outages map, work was expected to take place from 2:30 p.m. until roughly 6 p.m., however, power had been fully restored by 5 p.m.
A separate outage has knocked out power to over 200 residents near McKay's Corners. The cause of the power outage is unknown but power was restored at around 9 p.m.
