Chatham company needs workers

A Chatham call centre is growing and is looking to hire dozens of more employees by the end of the year.

Concentrix at Keil Drive and Richmond Street is creating 100 new full-time jobs because of a spike in volume. Company spokesperson Arika Aerts said people-friendly customer service agents and salespeople are wanted to help automotive clients.

"A typical day for one of our agents is answering calls, supporting a very large automotive client. The calls will be on recalls, warranties, owners manuals, and general inquiries," Aerts said.

The starting wage is $14.25 an hour and the company is offering a $500 signing bonus with plenty of other benefits.

"Interactive paid training in a supportive environment, medical, vision, dental, life insurance, a pension plan, free parking, transit-accessible, vehicle discounts with the automotive client we support there," she added.

Aerts said there are a lot of opportunities to advance within Concentrix as 94 per cent of senior positions are promoted from within.

"Come in to see us there at our location in Chatham. We take walk-ins as well," Aerts said. "Come in and we can do a quick assessment and interview and we make offers the same day."

Applications are being accepted until December 2 and training starts on Monday.

The Chatham call centre is closed on Sundays. Concentrix has 200,000 employees worldwide.
