Chatham-Kent Police cruiser (Photo by Allanah Wills)A diesel spill, which resulted from a two-vehicle crash on Queen's Line, has officially been cleaned-up.
Chatham-Kent police were called out to Queen's Line, just west of Chatham, around 1 p.m. on Thursday. The diesel spill forced officers to close a section of the road between Drake Road and Dillon Road for several hours. The road reopened to traffic shortly after 5 p.m.
Minor injuries have been reported. It's unknown if charges have or will be laid as a result of the crash.
Alan Smith will begin his new role with the municipality on July 20.
