A Chatham robbery suspect remains in custody waiting for a psychiatric assessment.
Craig Rich, 53, is accused of robbing the Scotiabank in downtown Chatham on Friday just before noon.
He appeared by video at Chatham court on Tuesday morning and will return on Thursday to set a date for an evaluation of his mental "fitness" and "criminal responsibility".
Police previously alleged Rich handed a teller a threatening note demanding cash. Investigators identified and arrested a suspect about 90 minutes later and found an undisclosed amount of stolen money in his possession.
Nobody was hurt during the robbery.
Craig is charged with robbery and possession of property obtained by a crime under $5,000.
