An annual gala has raised thousands of dollars for operational costs at the Chatham-Kent Hospice.
Jodi Maroney, executive director at the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation, said the fourth annual Benefit Gala held on October 25 raised over $81,000.
"Overall, it was an amazing night that demonstrated our community’s continued compassion and care for one another,” said Randi Bokor, gala chair and director of the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation.
The theme of the sold-out event was “Changing Moments, Changing Lives”.
Gala attendees participated in live and silent auctions. One of the evening's big winners was Jordan Ashley, who walked away with a 0.50-carat round brilliant cut Canadian diamond ring from Mittons Jewellers in Ridgetown.
