Police investigating possible links between car dealership break-ins

Chatham-Kent police are appealing to the public for tips as they investigate possible connections between some break-ins at local car dealerships.

Police said they were called to a car dealership business on Mill Street West in Tilbury at around 5 a.m. Wednesday to investigate a break and enter there.

When officers arrived at the scene, they learned that someone had broken into the building by smashing a door with a rock. It's not clear yet if anything was taken during the break-in, but the investigation is ongoing.

Officers believe this crime is also related to some other break and enters at car dealerships in Blenheim and Chatham.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Constable Kimberly Pfaff at kimpf@chatham-kent.ca. Anonymous callers may call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) and may be eligible for a cash reward.
