Man charged with impaired

A single motor vehicle collision has led to impaired driving charges.

It started early Saturday morning around 2:45 a.m. when police responded to a collision on Lacroix Street involving a motorcycle.

Officers suspected that the 19-year-old was under the influence and gave him a breathalyzer.

As a result, he was charged with impaired operation and over 80. He has been released with a future court date.

Man arrested for domestic assault

Around midnight Saturday, police were able to locate a 20-year-old man who was wanted in connection to a domestic assault incident.

The incident had happened earlier in the day on Friday. Police were able to find him at a residence on Grand Avenue West in Chatham.

He was arrested and charged on two counts of domestic assault and held for a bail hearing.

Woman arrested at customs

Friday evening around 5 p.m., a 31-year-old female was arrested at the Customs Office on Walpole Island on multiple warrants, after having crossed into Canada.

She was transported to police headquarters and held for bail.
