UPDATE: Queen's Line re-opened after crash on Monday morning

One person is receiving treatment in the hospital after a rear-end crash involving a transport truck during the Monday morning commute just outside of Chatham.

Initial reports indicate the call came in around 8 a.m. after a car going approximately 100 kilometres per hour hit the back of the truck. It's believed the driver of the vehicle noticed a truck had stopped in front of him and did not react in time, according to reports from the scene.

The car then rolled multiple times before ending up in a ditch. The driver of the car only suffered minor injuries, according to early reports.

As a result of the crash, a portion of  Queen’s Line, at Drake Road, was reduced to one lane as crews work to clean up a fluid spill.

The road is now opened.
