Three arrested after person stop

Three people were arrested after getting stopped in Ridgetown on Saturday.

After police stopped the people, it was determined that all three people allegedly had bail conditions not to associate with each other.

Officers were able to arrest one of the men while the other two people fled.

One woman was found and arrested shortly after. The other man who fled ran through a farmers field and tired to hide from police. However, it wasn't long before officers and a police dog was able to track him down and arrest him.

All three of the people were held for a bail hearing.

Suspicious person call leads to arrests

Two people got busted after complaints of a "suspicious person."

Police got the call in the early hours of Sunday. When they went to investigate, they found that several sheds had been opened in the yards of nearby residences.

Officers continued to search and found a man and a woman in a backyard. Neither of them was in possession of property from any of the sheds however, both people were found to allegedly be violating bail conditions.

They were held in custody for a bail hearing.

Youth volunteers practice coastal conservation

Nine young volunteers aged 11 to 17 spent three days exploring and protecting the Lake Huron coastline during the Coastal Conservation Youth Corps' inaugural program in Grand Bend from July 21 to 23.
