A man is facing a handful of charges after allegedly robbing a gas station in Chatham.
According to police, it happened 1:30 a.m. Saturday morning at the Petro Canada gas station located on Park Avenue East.
The gas station employee told police that they saw the suspect holding a knife. After attempting to grab the cash tray, the suspect fled the area. Police said at this time it is unclear how much money, if any, was taken.
Police were later able to locate and arrest the suspect. As a result, a 30-year-old Chatham man has been charged with robbery, disguise with intent, mischief, disobeying court order and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
