Man charged after uttering a threat
A man is facing charges after a verbal argument quickly escalated.
According to police, it happened Saturday on Park Lane in Tilbury when a man on a bike rode past another man.
The two men got into a verbal dispute, which resulted in one man allegedly telling the other that he would blow his head off with a shotgun.
The cyclist called the cops and reported the threat. Officers were able to locate the suspect at his house and arrested him.
The 74-year-old Tilbury man was charged with uttering a threat to cause bodily harm. He has since been released from custody and was given a future court date.
Break and enter at Chatham business
Police are looking for the person responsible for a break and enter this weekend at a business in Chatham.
It happened sometime overnight on July 5 to 6 at a garden shack located on Keil Drive South.
Police were called and are continuing the investigation. Anyone with information is asked to give them a call.
Man arrested on outstanding warrants
Police were able to locate a man who was wanted in connection to a fraud investigation from over a year ago.In March 2018, police conducted the investigation and as a result, issued a warrant for a 33-year-old Chatham man wanted in regards to fraud, stolen property, and fraudulent use of a credit card.
Early Sunday morning, around 4:30 a.m., an officer was on patrol around Chatham and noticed the accused man walking on Queen Street.
He was taken to police headquarters and held for a bail hearing.
Break in at Chatham residence
Police are hoping to find the people who stole several items from a residence on Edgar Street.It happened sometime Friday evening when the suspects forced their way into the house by prying open the back door.
They got away with a stash of DVDs and video games as well as some cash.
