Crime of the Week – July 5, 2019

On Tuesday June 18th, 2019 just before 6:00 am a man attended a business on Richmond Street in Chatham and attempted to steal a laptop. When approached by an employee, the man used bear spray on the employee. The employee did not require medical attention. The man fled the scene prior to police arrival, leaving behind a GT Bike. He was last seen wearing a blue t-shirt with plaid shorts. The man was approximately 100-150 lbs and had a tattoo on his neck with cursive writing.

A photo of the suspect has been posted online. Crime Stoppers is seeking anonymous information that can identify this suspect. If you know who he is call 1800-222-8477 and you could earn a cash reward.
