Young girl assaulted
A 35-year-old Chatham man is charged with assault following an incident involving a young girl.
Officers were called to a residence in Chatham Thursday night in regards to a disturbance. It's alleged that the 35-year-old assaulted a girl in the home.
Police said he will have to go to court to answer to the charge on July 26.

Mischief in Chatham
A man accused of damaging a woman's vehicle is facing charges.
Officers were called about a disturbance in Chatham on Thursday morning. Police said the 45-year-old man allegedly threatened a woman who had been at his home and then damaged her vehicle.
The Chatham man has since been charged with mischief and uttering threats. He has a future court date set for July 30.

Man accused of threatening landlord
A 23-year-old Wallaceburg man accused of sending threatening text messages to his landlord has been arrested.
Police said they were notified about the messages on Thursday. The 23-year-old has since been charged with uttering threats.

Driver stopped after allegedly running red light
An 18-year-old man from Chatham is facing charges for allegedly getting behind the wheel when he shouldn't have been.
A vehicle was stopped around 8 p.m. Thursday night on St. Clair Street in Chatham, near Poplar Street. The 18-year-old allegedly failed to stop for a red light and was caught driving while under suspension.
The vehicle he was driving was towed away and will stay in an impound lot for seven days. ----
Coffee with a Cop in Blenheim
Chatham-Kent officers are once again getting ready to sit down with residents during Coffee with a Cop.
The event will take place on July 24, from 8 a.m. until 10 a.m. at the Tim Hortons location at 79 Talbot St. W. in Blenheim.
