Three arrests made for warrants

Chatham-Kent police have three fewer people on their wanted list.

The first name is checked off thanks to a little help from the provincial police. Essex OPP located and arrested a woman from Chatham who was wanted on a warrant after failing to attend court. She was taken to the police station in Chatham and held in custody.

A Blenheim man didn't have to travel far to get arrested. He was signing in at the Blenheim police station, as per his conditions. After doing a query on the man, police noticed he had an outstanding warrant for failing to comply with release conditions. He was arrested without incident and taken to police headquarters in Chatham where he received a future court date.

Finally, a Chatham man turned himself in to police. He was wanted in relation to a domestic situation. After turning himself in at police headquarters, he was given a future court date and released with conditions.

--------- Intoxicated in public arrest

A Chatham man spent some time with police after having a few too many drinks.

It happened in the Mary Street area of Chatham. Police responded to a call about a suspicious person. When officers arrived, they found the male too intoxicated to care for himself. He was arrested and taken to the police station where he stayed until sober.

--------- Trespassing leads to charges

A man is facing charges after being caught somewhere he shouldn't have been.

According to police, they found him after hours in the compound at Smith Cycles in Chatham. The man did not have permission to be there and was arrested for trespassing. He was also breaching previous release conditions imposed by the courts and was held for a bail hearing.
