Two cows killed in CK after wandering into traffic

One person was taken to the hospital as a precaution after a crash near Charing Cross early Thursday morning involving some stray cattle.

Police said they were called the scene on Eleventh Line near Horton Line at around 2 a.m. Thursday after a vehicle that was driving in that area hit and killed two cows.

Officers said the cows had wandered off with a herd of approximately 200 head of cattle that escaped their pen.

The damage to the vehicle was estimated at $8,000. The cattle were corralled after the owner of the cattle was located.
