The eastbound lanes and on-ramps of Highway 401 have reopened after a collision closed the road between Highway 40 (Communication Road) and Kent Bridge Road.
According to a tweet by the Ontario Provincial Police, the closure happened around 7 p.m. but reopened at midnight.

A tweet from Chatham-Kent EMS said four Paramedic units were called to the scene. Five patients were treated, and one person suffered serious injuries while the other four had minor to moderate injuries.
