Pennington's thief gets caught

Chatham-Kent police have located a woman who was wanted in connection to a shoplifting complaint at Penningtons on Grand Avenue in Chatham.

The theft happened at the end of February. Shortly after the incident, police released an image of the suspect to the public.

Police said thanks to the power of social media, the woman has now been identified.

Last week, a 46-year-old Ridgetown woman was arrested and charged with theft under $5,000 and being in possession of property obtained by a crime under $5,000.

She was released pending a future court date.
