Suspect wanted in break and enter

Yesterday the owner of a residence on West Street in Chatham entered their home and found two unknown males inside.

The owner called police and provided them with a detailed description of the men.

Shortly after a 35-year-old Chatham man was located in relation to the crime. He was arrested and charged with breaking and entering and possession of stolen property.

He was transported to Chatham-Kent police headquarters and held for a bail hearing.

Vehicle theft in Chatham

Police are searching for the person or people responsible for a theft from a vehicle in the Crystal Drive area of Chatham.

Police say the theft took place between 9 p.m. and 9:45 p.m. Thursday. A wallet containing several personal and financial cards was taken.

Tools stolen in break and enter

On Friday police responded to a break and enter call in the area of Rose Beach Line in Morpeth.

The owner of the residence returned home to find a window on his garage had been smashed.  The suspect or suspects got away with several Dewalt brand tools.

Police ask anyone with information to give them a call.
