Man accused of stealing Pokémon cards
A 31-year-old Chatham man is charged with theft after allegedly stealing $158 worth of Pokémon cards from a local Walmart store.
Chatham-Kent police said a security guard at the Walmart in Chatham allegedly spotted the man hiding the cards in his pocket before he walked out without paying for them.
The accused was arrested outside of the store and charged with theft and possession of stolen property. He was later released with conditions and a future court date.

Smash and grab at Subway in Chatham
Chatham-Kent police are investigating after someone smashed a glass door at the Subway restaurant on Keil Drive in Chatham and took off with some cash.
Police said they responded to an alarm at the restaurant at around 2:30 a.m. Thursday morning, adding the damages are estimated at $500.

Break-in at equipment shop in Tilbury
Police are appealing to the public for tips after a glass door was smashed at Delta Power Equipment on Industrial Park Road in Tilbury.
Investigators said they responded to the scene at around 2 a.m. Thursday after an alarm went off.
Officers are still working with employees to determine what, if anything, was stolen.

Woman charged with mischief
A 48-year-old Wallaceburg woman is in trouble with the law after allegedly causing a ruckus -- and a mess -- at an apartment building in Wallaceburg.
Police said they were called in after some tenants at an apartment building on Thomas Avenue were woken up by some loud noises that were coming from the common area of the building at around 7 a.m. Wednesday.
Officers said the woman was allegedly found scattering some puzzle boxes all over the floor, moving furniture, and messing up the kitchen area.
The accused was arrested, charged mischief, and taken to the courthouse pending a bail hearing.

Argument turns to alleged domestic assault
A 28-year-old Wallaceburg man is facing multiple charges after an alleged incident of domestic violence in Wallaceburg.
Police said the incident started with an argument between a man and a woman who were both in a vehicle along with their infant child.
Officers said the man allegedly assaulted the woman while she was driving and grabbed her jacket after she stopped the vehicle and tried to get out.
Investigators say the woman was able to break free, though, and the altercation continued outside of the vehicle. The woman then got back inside and drove the man and their child home.
Once they arrived home, the man allegedly threatened the woman before police were called in.
The accused in the case was arrested, charged with assault, forcible confinement, and uttering threats.

Man charged with assault after woman calls 911
Chatham-Kent police have arrested a 33-year-old Chatham man in connection with a domestic violence investigation.
Police said the man allegedly showed up at a woman's home shortly after 11 p.m. Wednesday, resulting in a domestic disturbance.
The man allegedly took off as the woman called 911 for help, but was arrested a short time later and charged with assault. He was being held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Traffic enforcement in Chatham, Tilbury
Chatham-Kent police pulled over a handful of drivers recently in connection with some local traffic enforcement initiatives.
Police said they charged one driver with failing to stop for a red light and driving while under suspension while officers in Chatham were watching a crosswalk on McNaughton Avenue near Craven Drive on Wednesday.
In a separate traffic blitz in Tilbury on Wednesday, police charged a driver with disobeying a stop sign in the area of Park Lane and Bolohan Drive.
Officers also pulled over six drivers on Mill Street in Tilbury and charged them with speeding.
