Queens Line re-opens after early morning crash

Chatham-Kent police have re-opened the section of Queens Line (Hwy. 2) between Chatham and Tilbury that was closed for a couple of hours after a three-vehicle crash took place early Monday morning.

Emergency crews were called to the scene shortly after 7:20 a.m. and closed the roadway between Dillon Road and Drake Road for the investigation and cleanup, but re-opened the road just before 10 a.m.

Police said no injuries were reported as a result of the crash, but officers did charge a 19-year-old Chatham man with attempting to make an unsafe pass in connection with the collision.

The damages are estimated at $15,000.
