Photo courtesy of OPP West.Westbound Highway 401 near Bloomfield Road is now completely open after a fuel spill reduced the highway to one lane for almost 24 hours.
Provincial police were called after a tractor-trailer struck an object around 9 p.m. Monday night, and ruptured its fuel tank.
No injuries were reported, but the Ministry of the Environment was called in to handle the fuel cleanup.
The right lane was closed on westbound Highway 401 between Chatham and Tilbury until around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday evening.
