Watch for freezing rain and ice pellets

We will get a few hours of wintry weather Monday morning before it warms up to unseasonably warm temperatures later in the day.

Before that happens, an area of southwestern Ontario that includes Windsor-Essex, Chatham-Kent, and London-Middlesex will get light snow or ice pellets.

Environment Canada does not expect a lot of accumulation, just a few centimetres at most. It issued a special weather statement, which has since ended.

Drivers are asked to watch for freezing rain during the switchover to rain in the morning and afternoon. Slippery conditions are expected.

The precipitation is expected to last a few hours.
