Ignoring an order to move to a certain place has cost a Chatham man his freedom.
Chatham-Kent police say the 28-year-old man was released on his own recognisance on December 21, 2018, under conditions that he must follow a curfew and live at a certain address. Officers stopped by the address on Thursday and were told by the resident that the man had never lived there.
On Friday, officers found and re-arrested the man for breach of recognisance. He was being held at police headquarters.

A Chatham man will face a bail hearing after skipping out on a court date.
Police say the man was released in August 2018 with an undertaking to appear in court on December 19. The man didn't show and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
The man was found by police on Friday and is being held.

Police are asking for help after a trailer was stolen from a Thamesville residence.
A report about a break-and-enter was filed from a home on Jane Rd. Friday. A compound was broken into, with the suspect or suspects removing a 2010 white KZCO camping trailer, with the Ontario marker #E9504S.
