Blenheim man arrested

A 26-year-old from Blenheim was arrested and charged last with failing to comply with his previous release conditions.

After an April arrest, the man was instructed to hold a daily curfew of 10 p.m. and to take illegal drugs without a prescription.

A general patrol officer observed him at a Grand Avenue store and arrested him. The man has since been released with a future court date.

Public safety warning

Two suspicious men have been reported to CK police.

The men allegedly claimed they ran out of gas for the white Honda they were driving, and tried to sell a Chatham resident jewelry for cash. They also asked to use the Chatham resident's credit card.

Officers were unable to locate the two men or their vehicle.

CK police are reminding people to not fall victim to this scam. If a stranger approaches, police say to trust your instincts. If you are suspicious of the situation, call police immediately.
