Police briefs - Thursday, October 25, 2018

Chatham-Kent police are asking for help in identifying a man in connection with a theft at an LCBO in Chatham.

Officers said the theft happened October 20 at the LCBO location on Wellington Street.

A 30-year-old man from Windsor is facing charges for allegedly shoplifting in Chatham.

Police said the man was wanted for two separate incidents which occurred in Chatham in September. He was found Wednesday and charged with two counts of theft under $5,000 and two counts of being in possession of property obtained by a crime under $5,000. He has a court date set for November 7.

Nine young volunteers aged 11 to 17 spent three days exploring and protecting the Lake Huron coastline during the Coastal Conservation Youth Corps' inaugural program in Grand Bend from July 21 to 23.
