Disturbance leads to arrest

A man wanted for assault and forcible confinement was arrested after police investigated a disturbance late Tuesday night.

The incident happened in Downtown Chatham where officers learned one of the men involved was wanted on warrants for three counts of assault, two counts of mischief, aggravated assault, forcible confinement and failing to attend court.

A 28-year-old Chatham man was arrested and transported to police headquarters. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Man arrested on outstanding warrant

A man who was released from custody on multiple charges including flight while being pursued back in May allegedly skipped out on a scheduled court date and was arrested Tuesday night.

Police said he missed his July 18 court date, so a warrant was issued for his arrest.

A 29-year-old Tillsonburg man was arrested by OPP and brought back to Chatham-Kent for court. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Woman charged with uttering threats

Two neighbours probably won't be borrowing sugar from each other any times soon after an argument led to charges.

Police responded to a neighbour dispute in Chatham Tuesday night.

A 50-year-old Chatham woman was arrested and charged with uttering threats. She was released pending a future court date of November 13.
