A Chatham man is facing theft-related charges after allegedly targeting a local drug store twice in two days.
Chatham-Kent police said a man entered a pharmacy on St. Clair Street in Chatham and allegedly stole a tablet and some cologne with a combined value of around $113 Monday morning.
According to police, he returned to the same pharmacy Tuesday morning and stole nine packages of Crest White Strips valued at over $700. Officers said he fled after being confronted by employees.
Police were called and the man was located and arrested a short distance away.
A 20-year-old Chatham man was charged with two counts of theft and being in possession of stolen property. Police said he was released pending a court date on November 13.
