CK offering free rides to voting polls

The municipal election is on Monday and Chatham-Kent is doing everything it can to help voters get to the polls, including providing free rides.

Family Services Kent is offering the service to residents throughout the municipality. According to transportation coordinator Theresa Nantais, they just wanted to help people get out and vote.

Nantais said voters can reserve a ride Friday and Monday before 5 p.m. She added it is available to any eligible voter, including those in wheelchairs.

Anyone interested can call family services at 519-354-6221 ext. 242.
