Another recall has been issued for some frozen breaded chicken products because of a possible Salmonella contamination.
This time, it affects $10 packages of Loblaw brand chicken fries.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) said four people across Canada have reported getting sick in connection with the recall -- one of them was in Ontario, but none of them had to be hospitalized.
The recall applies specifically to 1.81 kilogram packages of Unbranded $10 Chicken Fries with a best before date of June 22, 2019.
The latest notice from the CFIA comes less than a month after officials issued a warning about frozen raw breaded chicken products. It specifically advised consumers to handle the products with caution and to cook them according to instructions, which includes heating them to an internal temperature of at least 74 C (165 F).
