Woman arrested for breaching peace

Chatham-Kent police arrested a 33-year-old woman Thursday night after officers were called to an address on Dufferin Avenue in Wallaceburg.

Police said they took the woman into custody at around 10:30 p.m. for being unwanted on the property and for acting suspiciously. She was released a short time later.

Man arrested in Chatham

A 25-year-old man who was wanted by police was arrested on Queen Street in Chatham early Friday morning.

Police said they found him and arrested him at around 3 a.m. on outstanding warrants for undisclosed offences.

He was later released with conditions and a future court date.

Breaching bail conditions

A 22-year-old man is spending some time in a police holding cell after officers allegedly found him breaching his bail conditions at an address on Grand Avenue East in Chatham.

Police say they picked the man up at around 4 a.m. Friday and were holding him in custody pending a bail hearing.

Youth volunteers practice coastal conservation

Nine young volunteers aged 11 to 17 spent three days exploring and protecting the Lake Huron coastline during the Coastal Conservation Youth Corps' inaugural program in Grand Bend from July 21 to 23.
