Police link stolen credit card to Chatham woman
Using someone else's credit card usually isn't a good idea, but it's even worse if the card has been reported stolen.
Chatham-Kent police have arrested a Chatham woman who is accused of doing just that.
Officers made the arrest on Thames Street early Thursday morning after identifying a suspect who is accused of using a credit card that was reported stolen from a Chatham residence earlier this month to make some "fraudulent transactions".
A 28-year-old Chatham woman is charged with possession of stolen property, unlawful use of a credit card, fraud, and failing to comply with a probation order.
She is also being held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Wanted man turns himself in
Chatham-Kent police didn't have to go far to knock another name off of their wanted list this week.
Officers said a man walked into police headquarters Wednesday and turned himself in an outstanding warrant for failing to attend court.
A 20-year-old man was arrested and taken to the courthouse pending a bail hearing.

Pickup truck stolen in Blenheim
Chatham-Kent police are looking for a red 2002 Mazda pickup truck that was reported stolen from a residence on Victoria Street in Blenheim.
Officers said it was taken sometime overnight and was last seen with a Humboldt Broncos sticker on the left side of the rear window -- it also had Ontario licence plates 144 0MH.

A 17-year-old male youth is facing charges in connection with a domestic dispute in Chatham that took place Wednesday afternoon.
Police said the youth was arrested in a home on Talbot Trail and charged with uttering threats, assault with a weapon, and mischief.
He is being held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Police search for stolen boat tarp and motor
Chatham-Kent police are appealing to the public for tips as they try to recover a boat tarp and a trolling motor that were stolen from an unlocked barn on Charing Cross Road.
Officers said the items were taken sometime between 8 a.m. and 12 p.m. on Wednesday and have a combined value of approximately $2,500.
