The third annual Positivity Day in CK - now more than a week of events and celebration - kicks off this weekend.
September 2 is Neighbour Day, the first suggested event of the 12 Days of Positivity. The organization, which says “attitude is everything,” encourages participants to say hello to their neighbours, rather than just wave from the front porch.
Positivity Day Co-Chair Darrin Canniff says it’s all about making Chatham-Kent a more positive place.
“We want to continue the venture of changing the culture in Chatham-Kent. We want every year, the meter in Chatham-Kent to move a little bit more positive,” says Canniff.
Other upcoming days include Service Club Day, Support Your Local Business Day and Diversity Day. Events run from Sept. 2 to Sept. 13.
Throughout the 12 Days of Positivity, participants can enter to win one of the 455 spots inside the Capitol Theatre for the finale on Sept. 13. Those 455 attendees will be entered to win up to $5,000 in cash prizes and $5,000 in travel vouchers.
